A Vision for Outstanding Academics
Great Lakes
University has four colleges with choices for areas of study. All programs lead to
a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts degree.
All of the programs have a liberal arts core
curriculum with solid foundations in English,
advanced language skills, social science, essential
mathematics, core computing skills, religious
studies, history, and science.
The University has attracted an impressive faculty
with appropriate advanced degrees. Our professors
all have practical, real world experience. That
means you will receive more than theory; you
will learn to apply your knowledge to achieve
your goals.

Mission Statement
The mission of Great Lakes University is to
develop degreed scholars empowered to become
outstanding Christian leaders in their chosen
field.
Accelerated Degree Programs
At GLU, you are able to earn your degree a full
year faster than most other colleges or universities.
Our ten week quarters, with three week recesses,
year-round academic calendar allows you to fast-track
the pursuit of your education without compromising
quality. Except for Music, all of the
following majors offer distance learning classes.

Computer Requirements
All distance learning students must have access
to a computer to participate in course work.
The following requirements are guidelines for
students. Students are recommended to have, as a minimum, the following
hardware and software:
- A Pentium III (or compatible processor) running Windows XP
- 256 MB of RAM
- A CD ROM
- 20 GB hard drive
- A 56K modem
- Internet Service Provider (ISP)
- Microsoft Office XP Home or Professional
- Netscape 4.7x, 6.2.3
and higher or Internet Explore 5.5. AOL’s
browser is not compatible
